The big problem is the wholesale censorship of any information that doesn't correlate with the alarmist agenda, and that includes the diminution of the role of CO2 in global warming.
Science journals will no longer publish non-conforming papers, no matter how esteemed the author may be. As for traditional and social media, they dogmatically refuse anything that strays from the UN/IPCC narrative. What they fail to mention is that this was also the final stages of the "Little Ice Age', which was a very cold period that lasted for several centuries, and was still in play when the records began. In other words, the record began in a period of extreme cold. (It is inevitable that there would be a warming period following an extended period of extreme cold. The climate is chaotic, but it also has temperature cycles.)
There is also the reality that the 'Medieval Warm Period' - which preceded the 'Little Ice Age' - was just as warm as the current period.
We also know that atmospheric CO2 has been multiple times the current CO2 levels in the past, and yet we are told to discount this objective fact as having no relevance to the contemporary climate scenario.
The alarmists try and discount the relevance of both of these key climate periods, and historical CO2 levels from the debate - events of unequivocal fact - and the media flatly refuse to publish anything relating to either event.
There is also the inconvenient truth that the planet, and human civilisation, have mutually thrived during warmer periods with high CO2 levels.
These examples are just a couple of many, many salient points that are deliberately obfuscated from the public domain.
